In loving memory of Callie 7/11/97-6/15/11

My dog Callie is a 13 ½ year old Australian Shepherd. She has had Dr. Candace Fisher as her doctor since May 2001. Let me tell you the story of how she became a patient of Dr. Fisher’s.

Callie is a very protective dog and very loving to members of her family. However, she will not make up with anyone outside the immediate family. I had taken her to a couple of other doctors for her shots, etc., and each time they would have to muzzle her. This was very nerve racking for her and an ordeal for me. Then I saw the ad for Angel Animal Hospital. I believe in Angels and even collect them. I thought, with a name like that, I just had to try to take Callie there…hoping an Angel would rub off on her.

We waited in the exam room and I was a little apprehensive waiting to see what would happen when the doctor came into the room. When Dr. Fisher came in and greeted us, Callie looked up at her and I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Dr. Fisher started talking to Callie, and Callie just stood there, not growling or barking, which she usually did. I helped her get up on the examining table and Dr. Fisher
took it from there with the help of her aide. Callie was very leery for the first couple of visits but after that she was very much at ease. As a matter of fact, now when she goes for a visit, she just goes right over and gets on the scales to be weighed. When we get into the examining room she goes over and tries to get on the table right away, waiting for the doctor to come in.

We were blessed to have found Dr. Fisher who is a friendly, caring doctor and person. She takes very good care of her patients and it is easy to make appointments to get in to see her.
